How to Embed a YouTube Video in Google Slides

Adding a video to your presentation can add value to your audience and make it more engaging.

In this tutorial, I will show you how to embed a YouTube video in Google Slides.

Embedding a Youtube Video in Google Slides

Here are the steps to embed a YouTube video in Google Slides:

  • Click on the Insert Menu.Embed a YouTube Video in Google Slides - Insert
  • Select the Video option.Embed a YouTube Video in Google Slides - video
  • In the ‘Insert Video’ dialog box, you can search for the video on YouTube or specify it’s URL.
  • Once the required video is visible in the list, click on it and the click on Select.

These above steps would embed a YouTube video on the slide in Google Slides. You can resize the videos and move it to place it where you want.

When you get into the Presentation mode, you will be able to play it.

To delete the video, simply select it and hit the delete key.

Embedding a Video from Google Drive in Google Slides

If you have a video file in your Google Drive, you can embed it directly in Google Slides.

Here are the steps to embed a video from Google Drive in Google Slides:

  • Click on the Insert Menu.
  • Select the Video option.
  • In the ‘Insert Video’ dialog box, select Google Drive. Your video can be in your own Google Drive or one that has been shared with you.
  • Select the video file that you want to embed.
  • Click on Select.

This will embed the video file in Google Slide. Now you can get into the presentation mode and play the video.

You can also resize and move the video on the slide.

To delete the video, just select it and hit the delete key.
